Party in the Park at Cruden Farm has become a favourite annual tradition for many families living locally to Frankston and beyond. This school holiday activity really is a fantastic day out, and any opportunity to visit Cruden Farm, especially for free, is one not to be missed. Kids go wild over the array of free activities and everyone can enjoy a picnic in these beautiful gardens.
First off the bat, get active with the supervised range of mini sports on offer. Previously held on the tennis court, kids can bat, run and kick to their heart's content. I'd suggest you then cool down in front of the main stage, but the interactive shows set to appear are going to be anything but idle. These live entertainers know how to get the kids up singing, dancing, jumping and rolling with laughter, and some lucky few may even be asked to join in and help onstage.
Who doesn't love having their face painted? Maybe after you'll blend in with the cute and fluffy animals in the animal farm before browsing the market style stalls which will be offering heaps of information about local children's services along with many more fun activities.
The community BBQ will be sizzling to tempt your tastebuds, or bring your own picnic hamper and bunk in under one of the tall, shady trees or near the fragrant rose garden, or even by the lake for the most enchanting lunchtime view.
Held by Frankston City Council and sponsored by Karingal Hub, Party in the Park at Cruden Farm is always well attended and well worth a visit. Please note: Children must be supervised by an adult or guardian at all times and this event may be cancelled in the event of bad weather.
