Are you looking for a fun venue that will challenge your group of friends to develop aerial skills amidst a scenic NYC location? Bring your party to Trapeze School New York (TSNY) at its new location in Chelsea Piers along the West Side Highway.
Hang on and fly at TSNY, located at 231 West 29th Street.
Wait as a staffer straps your belt onto the safety harness. Grab the fly bar with both arms. Listen to the trainer who controls the lines from the ground call out instructions as to when you should leave the board to start your swing.
Take a deep breath, and get ready to soar and fly.
Watch your friends fly from your vantage point under shaded areas on either side of the trapeze and gigantic safety net. Throughout the party, guests are free to snack and enjoy beverages that the party host provides and places on picnic tables.
During the two-hour party, everyone gets to fly about five times or so, depending on the number of guests. After another set of instructions, the last two turns are when everyone flies towards a catcher, who's swinging upside down from the catcher bar at a distance.
After soaring on the trapeze a few times, you'll see why flying is an addicting art. You and your guests may find yourselves booking more parties, or returning to TSNY to advance as trapeze artists—armed with an arsenal of aerial tricks.
