A bit of light relief from lockdown
We're stuck inside, Melbourne, but tonight Alice Springs has something special to share with us. It's the first time ever that Parrtjima is sharing a virtual tour so we at home can experience their incredible light show across the MacDonnell Ranges.

Stunning light show in the red centre

This authentic Aboriginal light festival illuminates two kilometres of the MacDonnell ranges at the Alice Springs Desert Park and parts of Todd Mall in town, for ten nights; from 11 - 20 September. This year's theme is "Lifting Our Spirits". There will also be cooking demonstrations, sculptural installations and live talks with media celebrities Tracey Holmes and Stan Grant.

At 7.30pm AEST tonight, the virtual tour begins. Check out the Parrtjima website. If you've never seen the red centre of Australia before prepare to be blown away. This iconic destination has so many stories and incredible experiences to offer tourists when we are allowed to travel again.

Start dreaming and planning your trip tonight.
