Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!
The Parrearra Waterfront Loop is a prized local gem, giving walkers and cyclists a mini outdoor outing, that allows adventurers to cross the Mooloolah River on a cement causeway, with parklands on either side. Considering the urbanised surrounds of the Parrearra Waterfront Loop, visitors will discover a peaceful and tranquil location.

Wide pathways and sheltered seating
Look out for benches that are placed perfectly en route to provide rest stops in the shade, with views of the river. At the halfway mark, leave the main path and walk or cycle up to the bridge, cross the road at the roundabout and rejoin the main path for the remainder of your travels. Or …. do what we did and totally miss the halfway mark and continue happily cycling along the waterway, just enjoying the prettiness and quiet of the wide paved pathways on this circuit.

Calm and tranquil ...
The Parrearra Waterfront Loop is an easy grade 4.1km circuit, suitable for walkers, recreational cyclists, prams and wheelchairs.

Fishing from the causeway ...
Activities and Facilities
Fish from the causeway, there were a couple of dads/granddads and their 'boys' preparing their rods;
Pack a picnic, there is an undercover picnic table available. Unfortunately, there is no drinking water in the vicinity, so bringing your own would be a pre-requisite.
Just sit and chill-lax on one of the strategically placed benches to enjoy the Mooloolah River water views.

So tranquil, one wants to just sit and chill-lax
How to get to the Parrearra Waterfront Loop
To the starting point: From Kawana Way turn west into Premier Circuit and immediately turn right at the T-junction. Following the road around to the left, the start of the walk is at the park on the right. Parking is on the street.
The end point: is the same as the starting point.

What else is there to do after enjoying the tranquil Parrearra Waterfront Loop
The
Mooloolah River National Park has many other trails for outdoor adventurers to explore or head east to nearby Buddina, Warana or Bokarina for a swim in the ocean.
If you decide you have had enough
adventuring for the day, take a short drive south on Kawana Way which will bring you to a shopping precinct with several coffee shops - always a win after a good walk or cycle.

All the 'dont's' when visiting the Parrearra Waterfront Loop
The Parrearra Waterfront Loop is a great location to visit early in the morning or early evening to enjoy the local birds and to appreciate the stillness of a little piece of paradise in the middle of suburbia.
Happy adventuring!
