How do we re-energise our streets, and more importantly ourselves after the recent restrictions? Eight jazz-filled nights at Parramatta Square is a good place to start.
Starting March 17 through to March 27
Parramatta Presents Jazz After Dark - Which is sure to delight audiences with a blend of internationally inspired sounds, from a New Orleans style street party with Eamon Dilworth's Crawfish Po Boys to Persian chamber jazz from the award-winning Eishan Ensemble, and electronica by improvising duo Sumn Conduit featuring artists Ben Carey and Dharawal woman Sonya Holowell. There will also be performances by 343 Brass Band, Cope Street Parade, Anna Salleh, and the Kate Wadey Trio.
As day gives way to night, wander through Parramatta Square, find a spot and enjoy live jazz during the Parramatta Nights Festival. The space will be humming with unique sounds each night - from Brazilian, Persian, New Orleans, contemporary, electronic, and traditional. A packed program of original, fresh, innovative jazz presented in partnership with
SIMA (Sydney Improvised Music Association).

Eamon Dilworth's Crawfish Po Boys
Inspired by the music of Dr John, Professor Longhair and Kermit Ruffins, the Craw Fish Po' Boys bring the all-night New Orleans Street party to you.
343 Brass Band
343 Brass Band plays energetic jazz, pop, RnB and gospel that guarantees serious groove. The New Orleans style lineup features a collective of Sydney best young horn players and drummers so bring your dancing shoes and loudest singing voices and party, 343-style.
Alma Orchestra
A soulful journey through traditional and contemporary music, Alma Orchestra fuses jazz with Fado and the popular music of Portugal in a unique blend that features thoughtful tunes, captivating beats, and stellar improvisations.
Eishan Ensemble
The award-winning Eishan Ensemble combine contemporary and classical music traditions of the east and west. Described as Persian Chamber Jazz and Middle Eastern Jazz fusion, Eishan's genre-defying sound defies neat labels.

Cope Street Parade
This collective of artists play old-fashioned, gypsy-swing with exceptional Aussie swagger. This festival favourite will delight music lovers with their catchy blend of jazz, folk, pop and parlour music.
Anna Salleh
Performing enchanting songs from Brazil and beyond, singer/guitarist Anna Salleh thrills audiences with a heady mix of bossa nova, samba, Latin jazz to evoke feelings of beauty, sorrow, irreverence and joy.
Kate Wadey Trio
Vocalist Kate Wadey exudes effortless charm and sassy swing. Her choice of standards has been selected for their fine character, and her original material processes a nostalgic sophistication that reveals a craft beyond her years.
Sumn Conduit
Dharawal/Inuit woman and vocalist Sonya Holowell, and a modular synthesist and composer Ben Carey work across new music performance, electronic music and improvisation. Using a range of compositional techniques, they present strikingly dynamic performances that are sure to move you.
Free to attend, no tickets or registrations required.
Pop-up bars, food stalls, art installations and roving performers can also be found throughout the precinct.
