Located on the corner of Railway Avenue and Fifth Avenue Mount Isa, Parkside Playway Park has just had a facelift in early 2019 with new playground equipment. This much-loved park is the perfect place for a family with little children to get-together safely because it's fully fenced and shady with big trees around.
The newly refurbished playground is suitable for toddlers and young age children. Slippery slides, a cubby house and climbing frames with a sandy ground are easily tackled by adventurous young children. There are also some swings, including an expression swing, where the toddler swing seat can be attached or combined with an adult swing seat.
Even though there is sail shade above the new playground equipment, the shade is not enough to block out the afternoon sun. However, there are some newly planted small trees around the new playground and it will help to give enough shade when they are bigger.
Some old playground equipment
The huge grassy area is perfect for any backyard game. There are also some areas covered with a sail shade which are perfect to host an outdoor birthday party or any outdoor getting-together for a special occasion. There is a public toilet inside the park area and some seating areas, but no tables.
