Got something broken? But you just can't throw it out because fixing it seems more environmentally friendly? Now that you mention it, wouldn't repairing it be cheaper than buying a new one?
The Repair Cafe at The Parks Library is designed as a welcoming community space where you can bring along a broken item and learn the skills you need to repair it and all kinds of broken stuff. Repairing and repurposing old things is not only a great way to not only save money but you'll also reduce waste and build new skills!
Talk to the skilled team of repairers on hand who can repair just about everything. They can sew and mend and practice all kinds of arts and crafts. They work restorative magic with many household items like electrical appliances, computers, electronics and technology. The repair cafe is also a great opportunity to meet other makers, repairers, and likeminded people.
The Parks Repair Cafe starts February 7th 2021 and runs every 4 weeks at the Parks Library, Community Room 2. Opening times are from 1 pm to 3 pm. You don't have to book but you will need to record your attendance.
