If you haven't already
registered for the
FREE City of Fremantle Parkour Workshop on
31 January 2019 from 11am to 12pm (
ages 12 plus),
now is the time to do it!
The session for the 8-11 year olds is already
SOLD OUT, so that's a good indication as to how popular an event this is.
Wait no longer, and hasten to book to attend this workshop at the
Esplanade Youth Plaza (located at Esplanade Park, Marine Terrace), Fremantle.
Meet by the big red sea container. Be sure to bring a
waiver form if you are attending a
Perth Parkour workshop for the first time. Bring some water, sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear.
Parkour is an attitude and training method for movement through any environment at speed. The concept is to overcome all physical and mental obstacles in your path by using your body and mind to run, climb, jump and vault.
Parkour belongs to a family of movement disciplines, including
L'art Du Deplacement ( less concerned with speed and efficiency and more to do with the aesthetic of the movement) and
Freerunning (a way of expression by interacting with various obstacles and environment and may include flipping and spinning).
