Parklife, Australia's dance music festival, is back for another round in 2012. The festival started in 2000 and was held only in Sydney. Now it tours nationally and gets over 100 000 gig-goers.
I've been going for the past three years and I find it to be a perfect start to the festival season.
Headlining this years' show are The Presets, who are back with a new single and a new album to follow. Other big names in the line-up include Passion Pit, Nero, Tame Impala, Chiddy Bang, Plan B and so many more.
John Wall, the creative director of Parklife said about the line up "We've picked a whole bunch of artists that we really love... Almost all of them have new albums and singles this year, so I can't wait to see all the new stuff live."
Tickets are already on sale so get in quick! You can buy them online from here. For general admission to all shows except Adelaide, the ticket will cost $138 plus booking fee (130 bf for Adelaide).
If you're looking for something a little extra, VIP tickets are available for $185 plus booking fee. The VIP experience includes: no lining up to get in the gate, 2 free drink vouchers, $10 towards Parklife merchandise and access to the Garden Bar where you can sip a cocktail while watching performances from the viewing platform. Oh yeah, you can also meet the artists in the exclusive signing area, plus there's heaps of toilets (which every festival goers knows to be very important!).
