The line-up announcement for Parklife 2011 was recently made public – much to everyone's delight. Bringing a range of international artists from all over the world, this October's party in the park will include Sweden's Adrian Lux, UK's Crystal Fighters and Canada's Death From Above 1979 (who broke up, reformed and are doing one tour only in lucky Australia).
Catch Ballarat's Gold Fields at this Parklife 2011
If you're a Parklife-virgin, this year's line-up is worth checking out. There's the incredible voices of New Zealand (but Melbourne-based, so she's totally claimed as Aussie now) Kimbra and Lykke Li. And of course, the crazy, wild, hilarious, entertaining and crazy duo Yacht Club DJs would be worth the ticket price alone. Nothing beats watching these guys simultaneously climb the walls, get undressed and rock out to The Lion King mixed with Britney. Did I mention they're crazy?
On Monday 3 October the weather will be perfect, there'll be green fields (and Gold Fields) and the cider will be flowing – so grab your Ray Bans and Aston Shuffle through The Streets to get your ticket. They won't last long.
For all those saying Feed Me– make sure to pop into the Hackney Hotel for a pre/post Parklife bite. They might not have Duck Sauce but they've got everything else).
