A Walk in the Park is an annual event held in various capitals throughout Australia aimed at helping raise funds and awareness for those living with Parkinson's disease.

Parkinson's disease is a chronic neurological condition which is progressive and lifelong affecting the motor nervous system which affects coordination and movement of those with the condition and for which there is no cure.

Parkinson's Walk in the Park

In Australia, Parkinson's affects 80,000 people with 30 people diagnosed each day.

A Walk in the Park helps to raise much needed funds to help support those with condition and to help provide money towards research to help find a cure.

The Melbourne event is to be held on Sunday 30th August 2015 commencing at Federation Square.

Registration is now available online with adult early bird entries $35 or $10 for children.

Fundraising is also encouraged. Register today, set up your fundraising page and get active to promote it so that you can make a difference to those with Parkinson's.
