I am an academic and writer living in Melbourne. I love to travel and I also love writing about all the things Melbourne, regional Victoria and other parts of Australia have to offer.
Oo la la, France comes to Como House again
Are you a Francophile? Do you love the sound of the French language and the taste of pain au chocolat? Or do you want to find out what all the fuss is about when people tell you about the French love of life and food? Then come along to the Paris to Provence annual festival and find out for yourself.
Held at the magnificent Como House and Gardens, this festival is all about France and the French way of life. A pop-up French village will come to life with the sights, sounds and smells of all that is French. There will be French food and wine, of course, a French marketplace, activities for children and even play for dogs, well for French Bulldogs anyway. Fashion, cooking, gardening, photography, it will all be there a la Francaise from 24th to 26th November 2017.
This year, a very special part of the festival,Coco at Como, will take you on a guided tour of the story of the famous French couturier, Coco Chanel. Three interactive rooms, the boudoir, the Grand Ballroom and the Billiards room, will be transformed to showcase life as Coco lived it. Complete with fashion, jewellery and furnishings, you will experience 45 minutes of history and glamour that was the life of Coco Chanel.

Perhaps you are a keen photographer and would like to submit your photographs form France in the photography contest. You can check out each day's schedule here and also purchase tickets.
