In the mood for Italian food?
I must admit, Italian food is probably one of my favourite cuisines. Hence it wasn't a hard decision to head to Parente Risorante for dinner one night.

Located in the suburb of Royston Park, it probably doesn't receive the attention of other more populated restaurants, but don't let that stop you. If you're after hearty Italian food, give them a go, and support a small family-owned business.

Upon arrival, it doesn't take long for us to order. My theory is the quicker we order, the faster food gets into my tummy. For entree, we hurriedly tucked into some risotto balls. Simple but delish!

For mains, we shared a penne pasta and a 15 inch pizza. Okay, maybe I was a bit too eager, as that was actually a lot of food for my partner and myself. Never fear, take away available, but perhaps we'll stick to a 9 or 12 inch pizza next time.

Overall, reasonably priced, tasty, and a pleasant experience. Will be back to try their other dishes. Next time however, I may have to skip lunch, so I can fit in more for dinner.
