The is the type of place worth skipping breakfast for. Stalls pop up in the car park of the Parap Village Shopping Centre every Saturday selling a wide variety of items; jewellery, clothing, tropical flowers, artwork, keepsakes and most importantly- food.

Market goers can taste many of Darwin's Asian influences through the mouthwatering dishes on offer between 8am and 2pm. Caffeine lovers can get their coffee fix or start the day with a fruit smoothie made with local fresh tropical fruits.

There are sweet options like crepes and other Asian delights on offer but it is the savoury options that create the tantalising smells that make "just browsing" a difficult option. The flavours of Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan are just some that are available.

Hungry visitors have plenty of choices including laksa, paw paw salad, Cambodian rice balls, pho and spring rolls. For those who want to stick around, there are chairs dotted around the place and afterwards you can pick up all the ingredients to make your own culinary sensation at home.

Fresh fruit and vegetables as well as spices can be bought at the market.
