A new playgroup has been launched and is meeting at Para Hills Uniting Church on the corner of Liberman Road and Barcoo Road, Para Hills SA 5096.

Sessions run on Fridays, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The group is absolutely free, which is a bargain as many groups charge at least a dollar coin per family.

The group is open to mothers with small babies up to 6 years of age.
Playgroups represent an excellent opportunity for young parents to get out of the house and relax with other parents while their children play with other children in a reasonably safe environment.

Parents are still responsible for their own children, but toys and facilities provided should be safe and age appropriate, so supervision should be easy. Some play groups have craft, songs and games.

Playgroups are usually open to the community and are not religious even if they are held on the premises of a church.
