Imagine being able to play 18 holes of golf without the interruption of things like other people hurrying you along, bad weather or a worked up seagull stealing your ball.

Sure, some people find all that stuff easy to deal with. They say "It's all part of the game". But if you're not so fond of it, there's a new world of golf that has just opened up in Canning Vale. And it's a world that I can't wait to try out.

I ventured in with my partner over the weekend after a drink at The Last Drop Brewery, conveniently located right next door, and walking distance from our home.

We were immediately welcomed by one of the staff members, and we got to talking about what actually went on there.

From the road, you might be fooled in to thinking it was just your average miniature golf place - you might even miss it, and that would be a shame.

is a facility featuring four state of the art, high definition simulators. Alongside a cafe area that serves drinks and snacks, this to me, is the perfect way to play a few rounds.

When you walk in the door, it's kind of like you have walked into the future. The future of golf that is. Their high definition simulators make you feel as if you are actually playing on the real thing. The high-resolution imagery combined with satellite data, results in a high-definition 3D photo realistic reproduction.

The industry's most advanced tracking technology measures all critical club and ball data exactly, replicating precisely where your ball would be as it flies through the skies.

And then there's the sound. Something you don't usually get during a game of golf is a crowd cheering on the perfect shot. At least not my game. A sound however, which is replicated from my actual game would be of the ball splashing in to the river.

is a great place for beginners and pros. It's perfect for a little get together with friends, where you can enjoy a few hits, or rounds, and even drinks as the venue is B.Y.O.
Or, you might just want to head there to perfect your technique.

The venue are currently in talks to have a professional teach beginners how to swing correctly, so keep an ear and eye out for that one.

The courses available on the simulator are amazing. For a bit of a look at what is on offer, check out their courses page here.

18 holes can be played in just under an hour, of course because you're cutting out all the walking. And if I'm not playing, you're cutting another hour off right there. So with that in mind, here are the rates:

Single Player 1 hour $30.00
Two Players 1 hour $25.00 each
Three or more players 1 hour $20.00 each
Pensioners (Weekdays only until 3.00pm) 1 hour $20.00 each
Hire of Clubs $5.00

It's also great to know is open until 10pm every night except Sunday. The opening hours are as follows:

Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 10.00pm
Sunday 10.00am to 5.00pm

We were also informed that you don't have to play golf. No. There are also other games in which there are buildings and your aim is to smash the windows with your ball. So put down mum's antique vase, and head in to .

We didn't have a hit during our visit, but I can't wait to head there in the coming weeks and give it a go, believe me you'll flip when you see the graphics. I'm constantly amazed at what technology is doing these days. From my days on Sega Mega Drive to Counter Strike on P.C, now something like this. Surely (hopefully) Smellyvision is a little closer to completion? It wouldn't surprise me if it were.
