That means in some cases, meals that were $15-$17 are slashed to just $8 for loyal customers. For instance, get your Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken/Vegetarian Curry Mutton on the 17th; Curry Laksa - Chicken on the 18th; 2 X Ice Blended Mango Mania & Ribena Melon or 2 Nasi Lemak Bungkus on the 19th; Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken/Vegetarian Curry Mutton on the 25th and so on. Head in every day during the specials fortnight and indulge in a different special every day. Enjoy favourites or sample something different.

With an extensive menu of Malaysian delights, PappaRich now boasts 28 stores in each major state with the 29th just opened on Sunday 15 March 2020 at The Glen, Victoria. Just follow the smell of those aromatics and buttery rotis and head to level one in the Outdoor Dining Precinct at The Glen. One of the newest item on the menu is the Sambal Okra (Okra commonly known as ladyfingers), which I tried during my visit to , in the city. The okra was so fresh, so crispy to the bite, and it bites back with all that chilli sambal through it. If you love your chillis, don't go past this plate of fresh greens that's perhaps not an everyday item for you on the menu at home. Pack in some of its health benefits as it's rich in magnesium, folate, fiber, antioxidants, and vitamin C, K1, and A.

For our lunch we also added a Seafood Curry Laksa; a special Nasi Kunyit with Fried Chicken, Prawns & Eggplant; 4 pieces of Roti Kaya; with a Coconut Paradise and Lychee Grass Jelly Iced for drinks; and Pandan Sago Pudding, and Caramel Sago Pudding for dessert. No complaints here about any of it. Seafood Curry Laksa is my favourite anytime, any place, and I enjoy trying it at different restaurants, playing judge and jury about which ones serve my favourite best, according to my taste. How could you not love seafood, and the laksa was so flavoursome at PappaRich, with just the right amount of spice and flavour and a distinctive Malaysian twist, with perfectly plump noodles to scoop it all up.

My lunch companion had no complaints about her Mains either and commented on how well the eggplant was cooked. The drinks went down a treat with the Coconut Paradise drink filled with all that its title hinted; coconut flavour and its flesh adding to the body of the drink. My black as night Lychee Grass Jelly Iced was very refreshing and was so huge, it was more like a filling dessert than a drink, and I literally had to scoop my drink with the provided Asian style metal spoon. The lychee flavours were light and refreshing, coupled with the slurpee style ice making up the body of the drink.

The Roti Kaya was recommended, so we just had to try it out. It didn't disappoint if you like a fresh well made roti and like the flavours of Kaya. Kaya is a delicious Malaysian jam made with coconut, eggs and caramel, so it's nothing like what you'd call traditional jam. It's rich and aromatic and also pairs perfectly with toast and a cup of coffee. A girlfriend of mine used to make it at her home many moons ago when I used to live in the mining town of Newman, so I knew what I was in for. It was a nostalgic hit of sweetness, but not too sweet. Our Pandan and Caramel Sago Puddings were shiny with the perfect wobble, like you'd see on MasterChef. It was as expected a perfect ending to the meal, with the pudding floating in sago and coconut sweetness that was creamy and rich rather than sugar sweet.

For a laid-back dining destination and consistently good food of Malaysian flavours, you know it! Find a PappaRich near you! Check out the rest of the offerings on the menu for Malaysian Favourites, Sharing plates, Dum Sum, and more. They launched the new grab 'n' go PappaRich kiosk concept in 2019 and their Express sites have been strategically chosen for fast paced locations such as train stations, universities and office block where people don't have the luxury of time to dine. One little tip; if you think the wait staff is not paying you attention, it may be because you've missed the little green contraption taped to every cubicle (at least at QV Square), when at the press of a button, service comes directly to you. Bon Appetite and don't forget to take advantage of those specials for the next two weeks.
