I may not be the first to write about it and this could be stale news already, but if you have been to Macquarie Centre in North Ryde, you will have seen Pappa Rich, the laid-back yet stylish restaurant where patrons queue up for traditional Malaysian meals, drinks, and desserts. Yes, there is always a queue at Pappa Rich, but surprisingly, the wait is not very long, unless you are dying of hunger.
Pappa Rich Macquarie Centre does not accept bookings, so the queue is hard to avoid. However, during busy times and if you have a group to dine, a simple trick would be for one to come earlier and get ahead of the queue.
As one would expect of Malaysian food, the Pappa Rich menu will include a small zing of chilli. The fruit drinks are awesome, and my personal favourite is the chicken skin. One would have difficulty finishing off a serving if it's only an add on to the main course. Otherwise, it is a perfect companion to ice-cold beer, and take-away is always an option.
