In our technology driven world, over-reliance on technology as a source of entertainment may mean that children might forget how to play. Not the type of play that involves little pairs of eyes fixated on a screen, but the true meaning of play - play that involves spending time with other people, imagination and creating a make-believe world where everything can become reality, even if only for a little while.

Under the umbrella of the City of Stirling's Summerset Arts Festival , Polyglot Theatre's is any kid's creative wonderland. Through the resourceful use of simple materials like paper and cardboard, a world of trees, paper leaves, birds and creatures awaits as children are invited to make their own creations to engage with and add to the everchanging landscape. This paper world installation is accompanied by a live 'soundscape' that transports children deeper into the landscape, and mimics our constantly changing, delicate and fragile world.

As an internationally renowned source of inspiration for children, Polyglot Theatre creates interactive workshops and programs for kids to discover and their families to rediscover their creativity and remember the true meaning of play. Drawn from the inspiration of children's ideas, Polyglot Theatre creates experiences that invite the audience to participate through joining in with discovery play.

Play-based education is so important for children to develop life-long skills such as independence, confidence and social skills, as well as the ability to learn through play. As children populate this paper planet with their own paper artwork and their paper-wrapped selves, children are transported back to the grass root meaning of play, when it did not come synonymously with any form of electronics or technology.
