The best cafe in Logan for delightful and delicious fare
We stumbled over a truly delightful little cafe down in Logan. The Pantry HQ cafe is tucked away in Springwood along a side street close to my nieces' childcare centre and school. We joined my mum and dad here last weekend and enjoyed a lovely breakfast.
The Pantry HQ cafe
The Pantry HQ cafe is family owned and operated by Erica Murray who is also the head chef. The interior of the Queenslander styled house is beautifully decorated with old fashion kitchen utensils on the walls along with a collection of colourful tea saucers. The display cabinets are full of homemade biscuits, jams, chutneys and old fashioned lollies, all for sale.
A mouth watering display
The interior decorations and provisions kept us entertain and busy whilst waiting for our breakfast.
Poached eggs with Avo on rye
We each ordered something different off the yummy menu, including avo with feta on rye with poached egg ($11.90) , bacon and eggs with tomato and toast ($13.90), salmon omelette ($15.90) and the breakfast special of poached eggs on toast with tomato and coffee for $14.90.
A very fulfilling Salmon omelette
Coffee was served hot and prompting by friendly staff and was made just to my liking - strong.
$3.90 for good coffee
The Pantry HQ is open early 7 days a week from 6am most days and 8am on Sunday. It is opened for breakfast and lunch and has a wonderful selection of homemade salads, foccacias, mini quiches and pies, and pastries, along with cakes and sweets.
They also cater for business and corporate lunches and do high teas for bridal and baby showers. Contact the Erica, owner for more details. It also is BYO for those leisurely lunch dates.
Our experience at the Pantry HQ cafe was quite satisfying both for the stomach and the eyes. We all agreed that it was one of the best little cafes in Logan. Definitely a place to revisit another time.
