PANCAKES - Many people love them, and I find they are often too thick - but not at The Panke!

There are several pancake cafes in Perth, however this one excelled as far as the taste, how they were presented, the extensive menu and even the service.

Choose between many savoury or if you are a "sweet tooth" sweet pancakes.

Located in the busy part of Victoria Park (the Perth end), the pancakes were delicious and the servings were very generous. It is not the cheapest pancake place however well worth the slightly extra that it costs.

They also have a small range of gluten free choices which my friend ordered and was also delighted with.

The Panke is quite a large restaurant with booth type seating which offers privacy unlike many other cafes springing up around Perth.

I ordered the "Tasty Potato Cake" pancake deal priced at $16, plus bacon which was an optional extra.

Tasty Potato pancakes

This comprised of a potato and onion pancakes topped with a tasty cheese melt and served with grilled banana and pineapple, topped with hollandaise sauce and sour cream.

There was plenty of bacon. It was done crispy, as instructed, and it was nicely presented.

My friend had the "Hash Brown Deal" and she did not have as much choice as she needed gluten free, and this came at a cost of $14. This was on the all day breakfast menu.

I could not fault this restaurant apart from the fact that it is very difficult to park around there, however it is a restaurant that I will definitely go back to despite this problem.

Looks good. I am not sure I'd like bananas with my potato though. :)

Yes, I'm wondering what the grilled banana and pineapple with hollandaise sauce must have been like. What interesting combinations!
