One of the places my girlfriends and I like to visit regularly, is Panchos Mexican Villa Restaurant in East Victoria Park. This is where we ended up celebrating a friend's birthday.

The day we picked to go, turned out to be one of Panchos specials nights. Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can enjoy half price cocktails and no main meals are over $20, Thursdays they have $6 cocktails, $6 Sol beer and $6 Tacos.

On the particular night we visited (a Thursday) it was actually rather busy, but our waiter was still very attentive with the extra people to look after. There also were a few other birthdays happening that night, hard not to notice with some of the loudest 'happy birthday' singing I've heard.

We started our evening with some of the frozen cocktails on special, a Fruit Tingle, Mango Daiquiri, Lemon Margarita and a Red Sangria. These were all very tasty, even though they melted a little in the warmth of all those bodies.

We skipped entrees and went straight for mail meals, 2 serves of Mascata (consisting of a Chicken Enchilada, a Beef Enchilada and a Beef Taco), a Tula (consisting of a Beef Burrito and Beef Taco) and four of the tacos on special (Beef, Chicken, Frijoles and Spinach & Potato).





All of the meals were very tasty. I shall quote one of my friends "Panchos never disappoints". A small warning though, unless you like some heat in your meals, stick with the mild option as both the medium and the hot have a kick to them (my friend who had the hot had perspiration on her face, and the medium was glowing).



So, if you are looking to try some Mexican food, I would recommend Panchos Mexican Villa Restaurant in East Victoria Park. They also now have a Mt Lawley restaurant. I haven't tried eating here myself, but my guess would be that the food, drinks and service are just as good.
