Are you looking to indulge your sweet tooth with the best pancakes in town? Pancakes on The Rocks is where you will undoubtedly find yourself seated.

From 2003 to 2009 Pancakes on The Rocks was the gold award winner for the best casual/family dining restaurant, and it is really no surprise why. It is child friendly, relaxing and an all round fun place to have dinner.

The rustic stylings of an old fashioned pancake parlour, creates the perfect ambience for the restaurant. The staff are friendly and quick to take your order as the restaurant gets very busy. There is almost always a line to get in, so a booking is definitely recommended. If the line is too long to get a table, there is always the very convenient take away option.

Pancakes on The Rocks doesn't just sell pancakes. There is a variety of gourmet pizzas, salads and starters (nachos, wedges, calamari), savoury crepes and pancakes, and a selection from the grill (steak, ribs, fish). There is also a kids menu, so there is definitely something for the whole family. You don't just have to have dessert at Pancakes on The Rocks - although, what's more fun than enjoying one of their famous pancakes for dinner?

For anyone put off by the name, don't worry, Pancakes on The Rocks is not just at The Rocks. There are restaurants in The Rocks, Northmead, Darling Harbour, Campbelltown and opening July 2011 is a North Strathfield location.

If you can't get enough of the delicious buttermilk pancakes, for just $2.95 you can buy their famous pancake mix to try in your own home.

I have to agree that this place is awesome. It's been consistently good every time I've been there. My favourite is the super-chocolatey Devil's Delight. The only problem with eating here is trying to limit yourself - I usually need to lie down to recover afterwards.

I find myself having the same problem every time I'm there too. It's just so hard to say no to the pancakes.
