Australians love pancakes too
Who doesn't love pancakes for breakfast? Or at any other time of day really...

Definitely check out Pancakes on the Rocks if you do. There's at least six different outlets open in New South Wales including the rocks in the city, North Strathfield, Northmead, and Campbelltown.

The idea for pancakes originally started in 1959 by Roger Meadmore on his travels in America. He brought the idea to Australia opening an outlet in Adelaide, then Melbourne. Initially importing the wheat flour from the United States as the special strain of wheat wasn't available in Australia, Pancakes became an Australian hit.

I've only been to the Northmead Pancakes on the Rocks, but parking there is easily available for two hours whilst you enjoy your meal. There is indoor and outdoor seating arrangements for all kinds of weather and the atmosphere is very comfortable and spacious. There are tables and chairs as well as booths and softer seating.

Make sure you come with a empty stomach because each meal is quite filling. You may choose to have pancakes for breakfast or dessert or afternoon snack. There are some absolutely delectable favoursome such as blueberry, banana and chocolate black forest cherry, Bavarian apple, bananarama, coco berry, macadamia madness and other yummy options. Breakfast pancakes include Jaffa orange, pancakes with sausage, pancakes with egg, banana and pineapple, and pancakes with hash brown, scrambled eggs etc. You can also order additional sides for breakfast or any other meal as you please.

Other than pancakes, they also do delicious crepes including savory crepes such as Greek delight and mushroom, pizzas of various flavours, meals from huge grill including ribs, and other entrees such as nachos so I'm sure you won't go hungry. Of course, beverages and drinks are also available.

But overall, Pancakes on the Rocks is a fantastic place to catch up for breakfast, lunch, snack in between or dinner with family or friends. The staff are very friendly, and the food is always punctual. I've been here numerous times and have always been pleased with the experience. The cost is reasonable and you can get pancakes from $10 to $15.

Bon appetit!
