Pancakes On The Rocks is ever expanding in Sydney. From what was once a steak house on the ever busy King Georges Road in Beverly Hills, is now home to pancakes paradise. This particular Pancakes On The Rocks restaurant is kid-friendly. A great mecca for families and couples to eat in at. My local pancake pit-stop is now here. Well, it has been here for a fair few months now.

So far, so good. The service is efficient. The staff are fairly polite. I first came here with my partner for lunch. He loved the skinny lattes, while drinks wise I went for a Lemon Iced Tea ($2.75). Such a refreshing drink, and it did not possess that strong tea taste - yet the flavours were there. In terms of having something to eat, we both went for the long stack ($9.95 each), comprising of four thick, fluffy pancakes with ice cream and maple syrup. At the time we went, the ambience was quite noisy.

My second visit was for some lunch. There was a small wait outside, however everyone was still served quite quickly. It wasn't a wait because the tables were full; it was a small wait for the staff to get the tables ready right in the middle of lunch service.

This time round I was feeling a little hungry. I had just come off a couple of days of drinking just raw juices, and therefore I went for the Pesto & Pinenut Bread ($7.95) for starters. It did take a little bit of time to arrive, yet those oven roasted pine nuts were just divine. They had just the right amount of salt. I needed to use my fork to pick up some of them, as some slid off the bread. Great flavours, and a real hearty entrée. It just whetted my appetite for some yummy pancakes. I ordered a short stack ($7.95) comprising of two thick, fluffy pancakes with ice cream and maple syrup. The ice cream and the maple syrup combinations blended in beautifully. These pancakes are just divine, and they will fill you up. No other words can explain the experience.

Hot tip: if you want a starter, and you want some of their original pancakes too - then only order a stack of two. If you're just in the mood for their original pancakes, then be bold and order a stack of four.

Drinks wise I went for the Banana Swiss Milkshake ($3.75) which was quite filling, yet not overly milky. It was a bit too frothy though. You drink about half to three quarters of the glass, and the rest of this drink is just froth that you cannot drink.

All in all, I have enjoyed my two different lunch occasions here. Once on a weekend, and the other on a weekday. While I was waiting for my meals to arrive, I did a bit of writing in my journal - just some intentions for the new year. So fittingly appropriate.

The ambience is spacious. Love sitting right next to or near the fireplace display. The prices are good value on the whole for what you're receiving. The service is excellent. Even better, they accept all credit cards. I am so pleased that Pancakes On The Rocks opened in stunning Beverly Hills not too long ago. Thank you so much, and I am sure there will be a few more visits yet.
