Palings Kitchen & Bar Opens in the Ivy
The Ivy Bar and Mad Cow restaurant have been transformed into the brand new Palings Kitchen & Bar this week, with thanks to innovative owner Justin Hemmes of Merivale.

The latest evolution of Ivy's open air courtyard, Palings is based around an up-market food hall concept, offering quality home cooking in a warm and welcoming informal eatery style.

Run by head Chef Christopher Whitehead, the new eatery serves up all the foods you love to eat, using seasonal ingredients and a no fuss approach to the menu.

With a focus on delicious, fresh fare, the restaurant delivers honest, high quality and affordable dishes that are perfect for lunch or dinner in a great atmosphere.

Palings offers four distinct dining choices for patrons – Deli, Kitchen, Grill and Dessert, with a fantastic menu that includes delicious seafood, sandwiches, carnivore classics from the world of the grill with a daily changing roast, and fresh seasonal salads.

The Dessert Menu is short and sweet, with only four options, but each is absolutely amazing and not to be missed.

They are created by acclaimed pastry chef, Lorraine Godsmark who ensures sweet tooths are satisfied with the selection of her favourite desserts on offer such as the mini croquembouche, summer pudding, strawberry mascarpone and the ruby cake.

Lorraine also has plans to expand this range with the opening of her Patisserie in late December so stay tuned.

Take yourself there for a long lunch or even dinner before a night out at the new Pacha nightclub on-site.
