Glitz,Glamour and Palace Nova Cinema
Grand is a good way to describe the Palace Nova Prospect or magnificent, or grandiose. The people of Prospect and movie goers in general have a superb reason to celebrate as on the 12th of December the new Palace Nova Prospect held its Grand Opening. The cinema officially opened on the 7th of December but this event was a declaration of not only the cinema but an all-inclusive movie night experience contributed by all parts of Prospect.
The night was a showcase of everything Prospect has to offer. With Rose street closed, tables and shade were set up along the road to enjoy a glass of wine and the sunset. Every eatery in the area has chipped in to highlight to the guests all the choices that a movie night in Prospect can offer. Food was provided by Cibo, Caffe Cena and Pun Thai with desserts provided by Muratti Cakes. With the jazz pumping and the people enjoying the frivolity and food it all came together to build a trendy and community-driven vibe. The Palace Nova Prospect is a classic 'for the people' establishment. Aiming to share exciting and genuine experiences with the community.
The night then continued on within the doors of New Nordic, a new casual dining and cocktail bar scene right below the cinema. New Nordic presented visitors with a wide spread of light and lateral Scandinavian dishes that satisfy and warm the soul. A personal favourite was the Ärtsoppa, a traditional Swedish yellow pea and ham soup. The dish is served with a shot glass of Swedish punsch, a favourite liqueur of Scandinavia. The soup manages to bring about a rush of flavour from what is normally considered such a simple dish. The combination of the soup and punsch complement each other to create a heart warmer of a dish. New Nordic also had their bartenders on duty. Genuine Scandinavian cocktail artists who put on a sensational display of skill and expertise to create a solid selection of Scandinavian themed drinks.
New Nordic is the perfect combo of restaurant and cocktail lounge. With a modern and spacious atmosphere, New Nordic present a chill atmosphere to meet and eat with friends before heading to your movie screening. New Nordic is now open for breakfast and dinner.
Once you've had a bite to eat it's time to get on to the main event, the brand new Palace Nova Prospect. Everyone that has contributed to the Palace Nova Prospect has created a truly Hollywood-style and luxury adventure. With a red carpet leading to the expansive lobby, customers then go upstairs to find a treat to the senses. Dancers and singers all around accentuate an atmosphere of the vintage 1920s flapper stylings. Presented around the function areas were amazing spreads of deli meats, cheeses and other foods created by Prospect's local fresh food market, Schinella's. Multiple food tables are dotted on both floors to create a fresh culinary feast at the cinemas. 50sixone also came along to create a one of a kind edible dessert wall. The quickly growing superstars of sweets flaunt the creativity they are known for by displaying a cinema theme dessert wall full of delicious and delectable treats.
Palace Nova Prospect capped the night off with screenings of a selection of western and foreign films. After all the celebrations it was good to sit in comfy chairs with friends and enjoy a movie in an enclosed and encompassing environment where you can feel the mood and emotion of those around you.
Palace Nova Prospect has personified their businesses tagline, "Sophisticated Cinema". The whole of Prospect have come together to show that the new cinema is more than just a place to watch movies. It is a revitalising complex that creates a special food and entertainment venture. Prospect road will never be the same and this will be the start of many great events and tender memories that go beyond film and focuses on distinguished experiences.
