Pakenham is a suburb of Melbourne in the West Gippsland region of Victoria. It was named after Sir Edward Pakenham, a British General who battled in the Peninsular War. The area of Pakenham has become a major growth region with new housing developments and infrastructure, which has boosted population as well as the economy.
On the weekend of 19 to 21 October, Pakenham is hosting their
2018 Picnic . This is an outdoors event showcasing an array of outdoor bars, live music, roving performers, market stalls, food and beverage trucks and vans as well as plenty of rides and activities for the children. Give yourself a treat and eat out for the whole weekend as it sure beats cooking and washing up afterwards. The outdoor bars will be offering a range of craft beers, fine wines and favourites to suit all ages.
While enjoying great food and music, do not forget to check out the Market Stall Precinct where you can purchase early Christmas gifts or a treat for yourself. Stalls include handmade clothing, locally made jewellery, homemade soaps, local produce and much more.
If you or your band would like to be a music artist over the weekend, you can apply on the
website and fill out the application form. This is a good opportunity for new artists to be heard, appreciated and recognised in the future.
The
will be held at Racing.com Park, 420 Nar Nar Goon-Longwarry Road,
Tynong . Further information can be obtained by emailing the organisers at
[email protected] or telephone 03 5940 6600.
