Can you feel the need to quench your thirst for violence before it actually gets, well violent? Then paintball is calling you.

I was lucky enough to have had one of the most adrenalin pumping sporting experiences around. Designed and run by Australian paintball champion Garry Field, you can't go wrong with his exceptional knowledge of the sport. From the dug-out trenches making you feel like a WW2 veteran, to the camouflaged bunkers for your team to sniper your enemies, it's the most real life war experience you're going to get with over 27 courses to choose from.

There are plenty of paintball war grounds to choose from in Adelaide, most of them no more than an hour out of the CBD.
This past weekend a group of friends and I drove an hour an a half to the scenic Deep Creek Paintball and Skirmish Wargames range. Yes, a long drive, but some of the most beautiful and breathtaking scenery you will find in Adelaide.

With a bucket load of trophies and awards to back up this extraordinary business, this is definitely one of the paintball grounds I would recommend to anyone over the age of 10.
If you can get past your fear of a 1cm round ball of flying paint coming towards you faster than you can see then I'm sure, after a little practice, you can go ahead and kick some butt.

This particular paintball ground has some of the lowest prices around. Normally for a starting round of 200 paintballs would take a whopping $80 out of your pocket, paying an extra $20 each time you need to re-fill with an extra 100 balls.

But Deep Creek Paintball has lowered their prices to an irresistible $30 per 200 paintballs and only $15 to re-fill with an extra 100 balls. There is a free BBQ on site and an outdoor seating area, so bring your snags and tongs and cook up a feast for you and your friends.

This is an activity you can't live your life without doing at least once, and I can guarantee after you shoot that friend you have wanted to for so long, you won't be able to resist going again.
This was one of the most extraordinary experiences I have had the pleasure of doing and if you don't get those butts off that couch, get out there and do it yourself, you will regret it.
