Whoever thought that painting whilst drinking wine would make for a fun night out was absolutely right. So much so everyone is doing it, under different guises but all with the same results, a ton of creative fun and a masterpiece to take home as a reminder of the night.

Wynnum Manly Arts aims to develop and promote arts in the community and have successfully run a number of Paint 'n' Plonk evenings with the very talented, and patient, Jenny McNamara-Furlong proving she is more than a match for a room full of would-be artists.
Jenny helping out
Jenny gently guides you through the piece, demonstrating and offering advice on the art of layering the colours and strokes to create the end result. Over the course of the night, you will learn the different brushes and their uses, the technique of using different strokes to create effects and how to achieve depth and light using colour and brush strokes.
Now I know what your thinking, "But I am not very artistic". Don't worry, as long as you are willing to get creative and give it a go ... Who knows, you may be surprised to find your inner artist trapped and waiting for this very opportunity to break free.
Bookings can be made by phoning or emailing The Wynnum Manly Arts Council, and if painting really is not your thing, the Arts Council along with Bay Art Workshops holds regular workshops from their workshop space in the Wynnum Community Centre in Florence Street Wynnum, so check out their Facebook page for other creative workshops.
