Learning to paint has never been so much fun

Paint for Fun is back this May with an all-new series of social painting events across Melbourne!

Come along with your friends and enjoy an evening of delicious food and socialising while you explore your creative side in awesome pubs and restaurants in Richmond, St Kilda, North Melbourne, Malvern East & Doncaster. Bookings are now open.

Anyone can join in - even if you have never painted before! Plus everything is provided, including acrylic paints - all you need to do is show up and be ready to make new friends and have fun!

So what's on this May?

  • Life Drawing Workshop - If a life-drawing class is on your bucket list, it's time to tick it off and we're heading straight for the good stuff! No vases of flowers or fruit bowls here, we're going to teach you the skills necessary for life drawing with a real-life male model. In this workshop, we'll explore shapes, proportion and perspective using our male model (and other objects)!

  • Mother's Day Class - Spoil your mum, yourself or any of the other fabulous ladies in your life with this super-cute class. Forget soaps, flowers or any of the other traditional Mother's day pressies: make a gift of creativity, and a treasured new memory. During this class, our talented instructor Revi will teach you step-by-step to paint this loving Mumma giraffe and her sweet baby calf.

  • Paint Your Dog - Love your dog? Want to capture his or her likeness in a portrait made by your own hand and with love? Of course, you do!
Join us in our "Date With Your Dog" painting class where our talented instructor Revi will show you how to do you doggo justice with a paintbrush.

You can bring your dog to the class and have your fur baby on hand to model. If you don't have your own pupper, that's okay too. You can paint someone else's, or bring a photo of a dog you'd like to paint.

Is your fur baby unlikely to sit still for the session? Don't worry, we're expecting that! No dog will need to sit still for the duration of the class that would be crazy!

Still worried about bringing your dog to the pub? That's cool just bring a photo of your furry friend and work from that.

Other highlights in May include Majestic Swans, Shedding Tree and Watercolour Peacock. Click on the links above to find out more about the event date and venue of each class.

    How does it work?

Each event lasts two hours: please arrive at 6:45pm for events beginning at 7:00pm - this will give you ample time to find a place, order a drink and grab a bite to eat.

As always, a friendly professional artist will be on hand to talk you through the process and show you how to create your artwork step-by-step, as well as supplying all of the necessary materials.

Paint for Fun believe that everyone has an artist within them waiting to be discovered and their ethos is "art made easy". They are all about a relaxed class environment where you can eat, drink and chat, while letting your inner artist unfurl!

You'll leave with an artwork you'll love (we bet you'll be so chuffed you'll end up showing all of your mates). Seriously, you're gonna be amazed by what you can do!

So what are you waiting for! Remember no experience is necessary and you just need to be up for trying something new!
