Just a girl spreading the word about all the fun (and probably nerdy) things to do!

If you get paint in your wine, you're doing it right
If I had to describe this event in one word, it would be warmth. Everything about it was fun and inviting, where a group of strangers all ended up laughing and talking like best friends by the end of the night. This is no doubt thanks to the atmosphere created by the star of the show Nancy herself, who walks through the entire painting process with a smile and a laugh.
Welcome to the all fun no fuss paint and dine experience with Nancie Lane
You'll start the night off by getting a chance to see the different variations of the painting for the night, whilst having a chat with everyone else in the room.
Next comes a very impressive dinner course and I did not see a single scrap of food left behind! I know I scavenged every last crumb and bite on my plate. It was a great tactic to mellow out the vibe in the room, getting everyone talking instead of sitting quietly, and made it feel so much more engaging. For the more introverted, be aware this is no art class where you silently follow along - you are more than encouraged to speak up and chat to your neighbours!
Now for the part everyone has been waiting for - turning the water into wine! No, I kid, the next step takes us switching out the dinnerware and bringing out the art supplies! Everything you need is pre-provided, even a variety of canvas sizes, so you can create an artwork that really suits what you want.
Thank goodness there were endless supplies because most of my paint ended up everywhere but the canvas!
Nancy takes you step by step but teaches you how to do the techniques and gives you room to be creative with your art. As she says, it's 0% perfection, 100% fun! I know in my case, I managed to get about 50% of my paint on the canvas and 50% everywhere else, including mine and my friend's wine glass, but it was absolutely so much fun and I eventually got my painting finished in the end.
You get to learn how she mixes her colours and follow along, or you can get spicy with it and go your own way. You can be as creative as you like and still get guidance, or you can follow step by step to get a bonafide copy of the original artwork. Nancy is always there to give a little advice (or be your life-saver if you're really struggling to draw a round moon).
No matter what style or type of artwork you make and honestly it's actually incredibly fun to see how everyone puts their own spin on the design and the sheer range of pieces you can end up with, you're going to have an absolute blast of a time.
There was nothing but smiling faces and laughter the whole night through
It really is an enjoyable way to spend an evening. By the end of the night, everyone was laughing and having a good time checking out all the paintings and comparing how big of a mess they made with the paint (I think I was the winner)!
This night out is the complete package - you get dinner, you get the activity of making your own artwork, a lovely glass of wine, new friends and lots of laughs, as well as a parting gift from Nancy herself at the end!
This night was just a never-ending goodie bag of delight
