Sometimes you just want to go somewhere a little bit different, a bit refined and fancier than usual. If you have a birthday or special occasion coming up or if you just want to treat yourself for no particular reason, then head on over to the Pagoda Restaurant and Bar and have lunch or dinner or spoil yourself and have High Tea.

The Pagoda Ballroom was originally built in 1922 as a dancehall and tea rooms. Since then the interior and exterior has been fully restored and is now the centrepiece of an award winning hotel complex, The Esplanade River Suites, overlooking the Swan River.

Now popular with many local and visiting patrons, The Pagoda Restaurant & Bar offers a la carte dining for lunch and dinner or a buffet style menu for breakfast. The lunch and dinner menus offer plenty of options to suit any taste, such as marinated chicken, sirloin steak or battered snapper. There are plenty of side dishes, specials and lots of yummy desserts. For breakfast there is a choice of full buffet menu at $26.00 per person or a continental menu at $21.00 per person, both contain a large range of items and are great value.

One of the highlights at the Pagoda Restaurant and Bar is the exceptional High Tea. Spend an afternoon and allow yourself to be tempted to High Tea at the historic Pagoda Restaurant and Bar. Enjoy finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream, and an assortment of cakes, tarts and pastries with your premium leaf tea or freshly brewed coffee. Perhaps indulge in the Sparkling High Tea and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine with your food. Traditional High Tea costs $24.95, Sparkling High Tea is a little more at $32.95. Available Sunday to Friday between 1pm and 5pm, bookings are essential.

On Sundays, The Pagoda Restaurant & Bar now offers live music with a jazz band to entertain their guests. 'The Olive Jazz' performs every Sunday between 1pm and 4pm.

The whole complex was renovated only a couple of years ago and has a delightful Colonial style architecture. The décor at the Pagoda Restaurant & Bar is sophisticated, classically elegant and full of old world charm. The atmosphere takes you back to the days of a stylish, gentler era when traditional High Tea was a regular daily occurrence. Enjoy your meal surrounded by the panoramic views of the Swan River and the city; the sight of a majestic sunset will take your breath away.

The Pagoda Restaurant & Bar is fully licensed, with a cocktail menu and an extensive wine list, stocking a large range of Western Australian Wines for you to choose from. The food is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly, very professional, and the service is wonderful.

Perhaps you are looking for a special place to your next function or special event, then The Pagoda Restaurant & Bar is perfect. Thinking about your wedding? The complex has wedding planners on staff to take care of every detail and make things easy. The ballroom can easily accommodate 150 guests for dinner or 250 guests for a cocktail style wedding celebration. With plenty of parking available, a selection of meeting and conference facilities, private function rooms and a pre-function area perfect for pre-dinner drinks this is the ideal place to hold any celebration.

Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and high tea, bookings are essential as they are always busy. It's an experience you won't want to miss.
