I've been visiting Pages for many years and have always been satisfied with their meals. They have a wonderful variety of sandwiches and hot dishes and a large array of cakes, biscuits and slices – many that would keep the sweet fanatic happy.
At a previous visit, I've eaten their Chicken Delight on sourdough which is juicy chicken, avocado, tasty basil pesto, lettuce and mayonnaise. Scrumptious. On another visit, I've demolished the Pages Beef Burger that has a moist beef patty and salad enclosed in a toasted focaccia. I've had flavoursome milkshakes, warming hot chocolates and a calming Earl Grey tea.
On this recent visit, I couldn't linger too long at Pages as the frozen peas and cold cutlets were beckoning me to deposit them into the cold comfort of the freezer. My sweet tooth got the better of me and I chose a warm apple crumble with a scoop of yummy vanilla ice cream. The flavour of the apple crumble was sensational. I've eaten this dessert before and it's never been disappointing. My sweet tooth and I felt refreshed.
Pages also promotes the Suspended Coffee cause which some cafes in Sydney promote. This system means that a customer gives the cafe an amount of money for the cost of a coffee. When a disadvantaged person enters the café, Pages Café will give a coffee to this person at no charge.
Pages has an indoor area as well as an outdoor eating area that has a fabulous covered playground for young children. It's the perfect place for hot days as well as rainy days. After play and eats, pop inside the bookstore and look around for a book or a gift for someone special.
