Sydney has a real love affair with Irish pubs. It seems like everywhere you go in the city, an establishment providing pints of Guinness and Magners and decorated with shamrocks and leprechauns is not far away. Few of these establishments are as conveniently located or as much fun as Paddy Maguires, though.

It might be possible to question to authenticity of this place. Exactly what makes it "Irish" beyond the name, the mascot and the Guinness on tap is not exactly obvious. One thing that cannot be questioned, though, is how much fun this place is. With karaoke on Thursday nights, Sydney's best cover bands providing the soundtrack for after work drinks on Friday and pool tables and cheap drinks available all weekend, Paddy Maguires is the perfect place for a fun night out. With just a short stumble to Central and Town Hall stations, there is so much to love about this place.

Get a few friends together, head into the middle of Sydney city and get ready for great (sort of) Irish night out.
