Most readers would know that Paddington Markets are open from 10.00am to 4.00pm every Saturday. Operating since 1973, the Markets are renowned as a place to source Australian designed and produced fashions, crafts, jewellery and art works. The Market has over 150 unique stalls filled with creative fashion and accessories, beautiful smelling soaps and candles, and pictures that inspire.

On the 31st of May, Paddington Markets is doing something a little different. They are hosting a one-off organic produce market, featuring the produce of carefully sourced local organic producers, farmers and growers who will bring some of the best products available.

The market will feature local producers of organic fruit and vegetables, meats, dairy, wine, olives, honey, eggs, oils, nuts, chutneys, jams and clothes. Each organic stall holder will be debuting the best products they have to offer at Paddington; grown and crafted with natural ingredients to bring the highest quality products.

Some of the featured businesses include:

Rita Organic Farm, who will be selling their best seasonal organic fruits. Rita's farm is a family based business that has been growing and supplying chemical free produce since 2004.

Wild Fox Wines: their vineyard is true to the best biodynamic and organic farming practices to produce quality natural wine grapes on environmentally sustainable land. Their products will appeal both to the fine wine connoisseur, and the organic and raw (preservative free) enthusiast.

Organic T-shirt Company will be offering their organic garments made using 100% certified organic combed cotton. The cotton is grown without toxic pesticides or fertisiliers and it is produced using sustainable farm methods.

Palarang: meat will be available from Palarang, an organic certified grazing property on the southern Monaro, New South Wales. All their sheep and cattle are grazed on Monaro grasslands, where they are grass fed and grass finished with no grain feeding.

Celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge, whom many of you will know as the straight-shooting judge from #page1 ">My Kitchen Rules , will be attending at 11.00am for the signing of his new book, Four Kitchens: Beautiful, Mouth-watering, Restaurant-quality Food to Cook at Home . Colin Fassnidge's cooking always emphasises fresh, seasonal produce, and that is what the organic food market is all about.

Amidst the organic produce stalls, the usual traders will still be offering the best of Australian made products, including hand-made items, clothing and home d├ęcor.

The regular food stallholders will also be there in the bustling outdoor food court, providing authentic Himalayan, Thai, Japanese and other cuisine. Enjoy a break from your shopping and relax under the trees as you listen to the live music performed by Tim Edison from the Howlin' Mercies .

So whether you're a regular Market attendee, haven't been in a while or are a first timer, make sure you schedule a visit on 31st May to check out what's on offer!

Paddington Markets are located at 395 Oxford Street, Paddington. Information on how to get to the Markets by car or public transport is available on the Market's website .
