The Peth Actors Collective (PAC) invites the public to attend their next free film script reading. This is on 30 April at 6.30pm at the WA State Library Theatre, located at north entrance in Francis St Northbridge.

The script by Anna Bennetts tells the story of a fragile balance between a doctor and a nurse who work together on night shift in a psychiatric hospital. When a mute, catatonic patient is admitted to their ward the relationship is threatened.

PAC Script Lab is a free, bi-monthly series of live script readings of Western Australian feature film scripts. Professional actors donate their time to the readings with the audience providing feedback on the script to assist the screenwriter in their next draft.

Featured scripts have gone on to further development funding and production with a script read last year: Reg Cribb and Jeremy Simm's Last Cab recently securing production funding from Screen Australia. Also Erica Kalaitzis' Bloodlines won the River Admiration Award at the Silent River Film Festival, California.

As well as assisting in the development of the scripts featured, these events are also a networking opportunity for the broad cross-section of the WA screen sector and general public who attend. Complimentary drinks and snacks are served prior to event.

To reserve your place at this PAC Script Lab email [email protected] or phone 9431 6700.

Take the opportunity to get involved in the development of another West Australian film at script stage.
