The State Library of Victoria is a popular venue for events and activities in Melbourne throughout the year. There are historic art exhibitions, children activities and guided tours. This July, the Library will be the site for a FREE lunch hosted by OzHarvest. OzHarvest is the leading food rescue organisation in Australia and host of the Think.Eat.Save campaign. This annual campaign raises awareness and encourages the public to reduce food waste, which currently costs Australians up to AUD10 billion a year.

The hot lunch is made from produce that would otherwise end up in landfills around the country. The event is supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) as well as the food industry, politicians and volunteers in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns and the Sapphire Coast. Everyone is invited. Register via the website to get your portion of food. There is no need to bring a printed copy of your ticket.
