Oz Comic-Con is back on from Saturday 17th September to Sunday 18th September 2016. It's Australia's much-loved premier pop-culture expo which celebrates TV shows, movies, comic books, graphic novels, anime and gaming. It will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The headlining stars who will be attending include Daniel Portman (Game of Thrones), Mitch Pileggi (X-Files, Stargate), Maggie Roswell (The Simpsons) and Joe Flannigan (Stargate). The guests will take part in professional photograph and autograph sessions and attend panels.
Oz Comic-Con will have retail stalls selling all things pop culture and geeky goodies. There's an Artist's Alley where you can meet world renowned comic artists (including Nicola Scott, Michel Mulipola, Paul Mason, Ken Lashley, Tristan Jones and Mark Sexton). You'll be able to see them in action and get your favourite comic books signed.
I'm looking forward to Cosplay Central, but I'm not sure what I will dress up as this year. Cosplay is the combination of the words 'costume' and 'role-play'. It is used to describe dressing up as a character from games, movies, anime, comics and more. This will include the National Finals of the Australian Championship of Cosplay.
The Anime Station allows you to relax by watching an Anime flick in the screening room or catching up on one of the latest Manga in the library. There's a Family Activity Room suitable for children to play and learn.
