The Oxford Hotel

The Oxford Hotel is a pub at the corner of Tynte Street and O'Connell Street in North Adelaide. A common meeting place for after-work drinks, the whole place is well presented and the bistro has a casual feel about it.

Whether you come during the day or at night, for lunch or for drinks, it is worth visiting. Since I am not a big drinker, I decide lunch is for me. It is another one of those places which serves pub food, not gourmet fine dining, but simple, honest, good grub.
During the week, they have half price lunches on certain dishes. The dishes I had, and are well worth mentioning, are the chicken schnitzel with mushroom gravy, served with rustic chips and salad, and the smokey bacon pizza. I recommend sharing with your partner or a friend, and try both of them.
