I am a mumma to 2 little boys and love to explore the local areas of Sydney for fun, play and eateries.

The Overlander Hotel Motel is a classic Aussie neighbourhood pub based in Cambridge Gardens, just north of Penrith in Western Sydney.
We went with my 2.5 year old toddler to explore the new refurbished playcentre and let's say we enjoyed it and spent full 2 hours eating, playing and making new friends with the element of fresh air for all of us.
The outdoor play and eat area is well covered on a rainy day and has outdoor patio heaters with big screens, which play all the latest and retro music. There are facilities for high chairs and change tables in the toilets.
The play area has restricted gated entry wide enough for a strider pram to go and stay inside the play area, whilst the toddler played around and the baby slept off and then enjoyed the views and entertainment that their toddler brother provided.
The outdoor bistro area is a strictly No Smoking Area under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000 and penalties apply. There is a Wiggles type Red toot toot car fixed at the ground level with a rotating steering wheel. There were 2 wall board games - one involving zoo and the other involving the trains. The main play attraction involved the slippery dip and turning foam polls. The play land is suitable for children from walking age to 8 years.
The food and drinks are very typical of a suburban pub. The upside of visiting such a play centre attached to a hotel outfit is that it satisfies both kids and parents. Just an idyllic place for mothers groups and bored parents and charged up toddlers. Cost wise, you are looking at a cup of coffee.
