The breakfast menu caters for vegetarians, as well as kids. Outside of this, they have a healthy range of scrumptious foods offering two of my personal favorites which include Eggs Benedict and pancakes. I am not entirely sure if you could substitute pancakes for the English muffin in Eggs Benedict, but I would give that a go.

With Steak & Poultry, Seafood, Pasta, Salads and Burgers, there is bound to be something that will strike one's fancy. Their Gluten Free menu is extensive which may offer a healthy alternative to chips or other high glycemic index options.

For me, the true test for a great venue is their ability to make coffee. I can say, without a doubt, that Overboard exceeds any coffee expectations with coffee that is creamy, robust and perfect to taste.
Black Forest Cake with a Latte (photo compliments of SocialHummingBird)
With a $7.50 coffee and cake special, it is hard to resist the temptation. The black forest cake took me back to my younger years with a blend of flavors that ignited all senses in the palate. Somehow, Over Board managed to maintain the perfect balance of chocolate, cream, cherry and a wonderful biscuit base which I could eat all on its own.
Caramel Maltearser - temptation on a plate (photo compliments of SocialHummingBird)
The 'Caramel Malteser' cake was a perfect blend of sweetness with a salty caramel mix. The sponge was not over moist which I feel would have ruined the amazing icing which could have quite easily been served on its own.

Staff at Over Board Cafe is extremely friendly and helpful. I always believe that if you find a place which offers superior service, then it should become 'home'. I could say, unequivocally, service at Over Board Cafe is exceptional.

Table bookings are accepted, except on Sunday mornings. I, personally, would feel more comfortable knowing there is a spot in my new found place of magic, than be disappointed to find they have been booked out.
An outdoor 'million dollar' experience (photo compliments of SocialHummingBird)
Overall, Over Board Cafe has become my new destination cafe. It has everything that a 'rustic meets sea' interior design should have. With plenty of table seating options, I tend to choose the comfy leather couch by the door. Once you sit down, you almost don't want to leave. A visit to this cafe will be well worth your time.
Thanks for the comprehensive review. Not sure whether this café calls itself Overboard or Overbored - seems to have it written both ways in various places. Hopefully Overbored is just a typo (which needs correcting asap!)
