Native plants and native birds
Outback Park at Outback Isa is located on 19 Marian Street, The Gap, Mount Isa. This outdoor park is a home to native plants, including endemic plants of the region that cover two hectares of landscaped park. Admission to go to Outback Park is included as part of entry into the Isa Experience exhibit.

You can enter the Outback Park through the door at the end of the Isa Experience exhibit. Don't forget to grab a copy of native plant list at the reception desk. Most of the plants have an information board as well.

There is a sunscreen station placed near the exit door but there is no drinking water fountain. Put your walking shoes on as some parts of the ground are uneven with little stones that make it a little bit slippery.

A bridge extends across the lagoon and the paths lead around the park to various shaded rest spots. With so many native plants around, Outback Park is also home to various native birds.

The Outback Park is also an excellent venue for functions. With a central lagoon that is surrounded by lush native plantings and a lawn hill gorge inspired waterfall, Outback Park gives you a stunning backdrop for your special event. Completed with a fully-equipped kitchen and catering staff as well as a liquor license, your party or special occasion at Outback Park will be just perfect.

Open daily from 8.30 am until 5.00 pm (except on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day), The Outback Park will give you outdoor outback experience.
