Outback Jacks interior
A gift voucher lured us to the cavernous inside of
Outback Jack's in Strathpine. Although spacious, this restaurant certainly does not lack atmosphere. Warm terracotta colours, a good-sized bar along one wall and wooden floors give this restaurant the feel of an old English pub with a Mexican twist. Customers have a choice of casually dining on 'the deck' or, more intimately, on comfy cushioned seats in a booth.

The
menu is varied, from home style burgers to dishes such as sautéed prawns in a creamy garlic sauce on a bed of rice for the more discerning among us. Classic selections are fish and chips, chicken and a great range of steaks. Even pasta features on the menu. And if you join the Birthday Club, they will give you a free meal on your birthday.

The range of
meals for kids under 12 is exceptional, with eight different choices and even a cheap side salad option. Entertainment is also on offer; every restaurant has a
kid's room fitted with playstations, TVs and colouring books. Kids eat free from the $3 menu on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-7pm.
Outback Jack's offer great lunchtime deals and is, unlike a lot of other venues, open on Mondays. They are conveniently located at the Westfield Shopping Centre, so plenty of parking is available.
This time we used our gift vouchers, which Outback Jack's generously provided to our swim club, but we will definitely be back to enjoy a delicious and relaxed family outing at Outback Jack's Strathpine.
