Out-The-Back Tecoma market is back on Saturday 18th July 2015 from 10am to 2pm at the corner of Burwood Highway and Sandells Road, Tecoma. This is a small intimate market that's only a few months old and realistically only fits around 15 stalls as it stands. It does however have a whole back section to expand into once the market grows.
If you're coming here for a shop till you drop session, you're not going to get it at this stage as there are not enough stalls. The market is still in its infancy and over time the more people that come, the more growth it'll attract and that goes both ways. The community will have a sustainable way of shopping directly from the source and the stallholders will see Tecoma as a place that welcomes small businesses. Before you know it, along with its growth, it'll spawn not just a makers, but a farmers' market as well, where you can get it fresh from land to hand.
It doesn't however detract from having a good morning as it stands. You'll find a community driven pleasant market atmosphere with just enough stalls for you to enjoy browsing through some quality goods, and some lovely stallholders who are only too happy to have a chat with you. It's a market where you relax, stop and have a bite to eat followed by a nice hot cuppa.
Bubidi Boo will be there with her gorgeous wares of hair accessories, handbags, knitted hairbands, booties and so much more.
Scent with LUV Candles has a huge variety of aromas to choose from, the hardest part is trying to narrow it down to a few that you truly love. The title 'dragon's breath' always gets em! I think it's because it sounds mysterious and medieval. I can tell you now, once you get used to scented candles, it's very difficult going back to just burning regular candles around the house for atmosphere.
Treasures for Treasures has some good solid stainless steel jewellery filled with the cutest miniature charms that just screams 'cute'. Pick the ones that mean the most to you or reminds you of precious moments and lock it away in your little keepsake.
SK infinity Scarves may be the new kid on the block without a Facebook page, but her innovative large stitch scarves will capture your interest. She has just enough of a variety to make your head spin wondering which one to choose.
Vertigo Designs is nothing short of a shopper's paradise with their variety of affordable costume jewellery. You can pick one or three to suit every outfit you have. They also have a variety of other goods.
Wildwood Herbals just conjures up that time in history when young maidens were out in the woods gathering their herbs and spices to make up their tinctures, potions and lotions. Stop by for a lovely brew of herbal tea and examine what magical herbs reside at this stall.
If wholesome and moreish is more your style, then you can't go past Rockabilly Kitchen. No matter how many lemon slices she makes, she keeps getting asked to double the quantities as it seems it's everyone's favourite. She also has hot drinks, other cakes and slices, slow roast beef rolls and a whole lot more. She's your one stop shop for comfort food.
MrDuk is renown for his ready to eat duck and some pretty amazing pies and tarts. That's not all. He also generally has some awesome pecan pies and other cakes at his stall too.
Add to the list D.M.G. Fashion, Phoenix Trader and perhaps some Irish dancers if you're lucky. There's more than meets the eye at this intimate market where you can spend a pleasant morning catching up with or having quality time with family and friends in a laid back relaxed atmosphere. Their event page will keep you updated.
