Re-live decades' worth of Australia's space exploration at the
Out of This World: Australia In The Space Age exhibition which is currently on display at the
National Archives of Australia until 14 March 2021.
Covering the exciting days from the 1950s through to the 1970s,
Out of This World: Australia In The Space Age features something for everyone, from cutting-edge scientific research to space-age toys, design, television and meet everyone's favourite pencil-nosed spaceman, Mr Squiggle.
Four tiny moon rocks collected from historic moonwalk in July 1969 by Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are part of the exhibition.
Learn about the history of Woomera Rocket Range, see how futuristic architecture influenced Australia's Expo pavilion in 1970 and discover how Australian astronauts Andy Thomas, Nik Halik and Philip Chapman contributed to space exploration.
