I enjoy writing to give other people pleasure. I love traveling, eating out, finding fabulous cultural events at home and afar. I hope you'll like and try some of my discoveries, and favourite places and experiences.

Out of the Box is an iconic arts festival for littlies. Just how long has it been around? Well, I took my 30 something year old daughter there when she was a preschooler. She had a wonderful time then, and now she is a very creative writer and thinker. This year, I'll be browsing the program with my granddaughter in mind.

Over 5 days, little ones will enjoy the wonder of tailored theatre, hands-on workshops, fun activities and interactive exhibitions. Most shows go for a maximum of 55 minutes.

The Out of the Box Festival is jam-packed with quality arts, educational and cultural activities and events thoughtfully curated to bring out children's creativity and imagination. You can buy a Day Pass for $35 and enjoy as many of the festival events as you can fit in. Puppets and people will take over the QPAC precinct with plenty of dance, song, storytelling, painting and performance. Artists include our own multi-talented Kranksy Sister, Christine Johnston as Madame Lark, with her amazing bird calls. Equally brilliant, Air Play will bring their mix of circus, sculpture and street theatre from New York to Brisbane. There are opportunities to learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children and for those from other countries to have their stories told.
