Deep Oceans is a family friendly exhibition at the Queensland Museum that features the mysterious world under the Earth's surface. See the five metre long giant squid, learn about peculiar creatures and hear fascinating myths and legends. The exhibition is suitable for children five years and above, however, children under 5 will enjoy the Octonauts trail.
Sing and dance to your favourite nursery rhymes with Jay Laga'aia and songs from Justine Clarke's award winning album A Little Day Out. It doesn't matter how old your children are, this lively show will have them (and you) boogieing to the max.
Join Sam Moran at Play Along with Sam and have a great time with rhythm, music and movement. Plus Katie Noonan and Zac Hurren's Sing a Rainbow will have the youngsters exploring the world of sounds, colours and feelings.
4 - 18 Months
The Nursery will delight your baby with an experience like never before. Designed especially for babies that are 4 to 18 months old, this special play space is presented by two dancers and a musician.
3 - 6 Years
For children aged between 3 and 6, Aston's Stones is a perfect little show for them. This story about a dog who wants to look after all the stones he finds will captivate and inspire your children. While the story tells us that small things are valuable, it also conveys emotions and feelings via music, singing and drama.
3 - 8 Years
The Incredible Book Eating Boy is a story about Henry, who likes to eat books. This theatrical performance with song and movement will entertain and fascinate your little ones to the max.
Carnival of the Animals is an unmissable event. This physical theatre spectacular is brought to you by internationally recognised circus company, Circa. Prepare yourself for a fantastic journey with animals from land, sea and sky. With a mixture of circus, multimedia and music, this show guarantees to amaze and wow all audience members.
I'm sure the Carnival will inspire many youngsters and adults alike. So why not head to Circa's circus workshops for some acrobatic animal tricks and aerial skills.
6 - 8 Years
Wulamanayuwi and the Seven Pamanui is a wonderful show with an adventurous story accompanied by song and puppetry. Experience stories of the Tiwi Islands and feast on this classical story of good and evil.
4 - 8 Years
Big Bad Wolf is a moving performance where themes of bravery and acceptance are emphasised. Children will enjoy this new Australian production featuring Wolfie and Heidi Hood.
Come and learn about the Aboriginal culture and the Australian landscape at Saltbush: Children's Cheering Carpet. This is an interactive performance with live dance, music, song, digital projections and stories.
If you're feeling adventurous and creative then you should take part in Songs of the Sonar. Start by travelling into the underwater world of a sea songstress before making your own glow-in-the-dark ocean creature.
And Still Awake Still! is a part-concert, part-theatre production that promises to delight and captivate adults and children alike. It's funny, chaotic, and absolutely magical with live acoustic music and hilarious acting.
