Spring is calling and Mosman Council 's popular Out & About Spring Series is back with FREE outdoor events that include evening concerts, movie screenings and a new night market. These open-air evenings have it all; music, performance, action, comedy, food and drink. Be sure to mark the dates in your diary, and don't miss out on these freebies.



Kicking off on Friday 19 Oct from 5pm to 8.30pm, experience soprano Amelia Farrugia 's vocals as she runs through her repertoire of opera, operetta and music theatre at Balmoral Beach. MC'd by Mosman-based news presenter and journalist Jacinta Tynan, Jonathan Wilson will be joining Amelia on piano, along with students from Sydney Sings, and a host of other local talent that includes Stephen Lalor, Fiona Ziegler and Doug Emery presented by Mosman Music Club, Mosman Symphony Choir, Queenwood String Orchestra and Queenwood Symphony Orchestra.

The second musical performance of the series will be a Concert by the Beach on Fri 26 Oct from 5-8.30pm with Dan Barnett , one of Sydney's premier vocalist and trombonist. Joined by his band, their music ranges from swing jazz to contemporary dance music. Actor and singer Andrew Hazzard will MC the event as local community and school performance groups entertain you for an evening of live dance, music and singing.


The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson is always a good drawcard when it comes to films. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle screens on Sat 20 Oct from 7.30-9.30pm at the Mosman Square & Village Green, Spit Junction. Come dressed up in jungle theme for a chance to win a lucky draw prize. Don't forget to bring your comfy rugs and pillows to chillax and watch four teenagers as they're transported into the video game world in the bodies of their avatars. They must work to overcome the game's magical power to survive, win and get home.

Peter Rabbit the movie, on Sat 27 Oct from 7.30-9pm is a time to wear your overalls and straw hats, dress as farm folk or animals, for a chance to win a lucky draw prize. Again, bring the comfy gear to lay back and enjoy this free film. At the event, Council will organise cash fundraising for the R U Aware We Care to help our farmers affected by drought, including Mosman's Friendship Community, Glen Innes Severn Council. Join Peter and his sisters as they dodge scheme after scheme to be rid of them from Mr McGregor's vegetable garden. A resourceful rabbit, Pether is a worthy and wily opponent.


Thu 25 Oct from 4.30-9pm is a time for fun and relaxation at the new OctoberFeast boutique night market. Fairy lights after dark and the hustle bustle of a community brings warmth to the air at this artisan market of gourmet food stalls, artisan beer and wine, beautifully crafted goods, live music and family entertainment.
