Our Farm Kitchen[/LINK] is an enchanted cafe right on Darling Street in Balmain. The owner Laura Mathias is an incredible chef who makes everything from scratch in her kitchen. She caters to gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian. She offers both savoury and sweet delicious treats, all made from scratch with no refined sugar.



Our Farm Kitchen also offers cooking classes for kids age 3-9.
My daughter and I went to experience one of these unique cooking classes. The location was great, set in the back of the cafe with beautiful plants.

We rolled Brazilian cheese bread (made with tapioca flour) and almond flour cookies. The kids were really enjoying the textures of the dough and exploring how to make cookies. They had many toppings to choose from to add to the cookies.




The best part, of course, was eating the treats once they were baked. The Brazilian cheese bread is so chewy and delectable, you can also take it home frozen and heat it at home. I did this and it is a definite hit with my daughter.

I also enjoyed their open-faced vegetarian sandwich and an incredible green juice, all organic that Laura makes on site. You can have a lovely coffee and treat while your child learns how to bake. It's a win-win for everyone.


Laura's next cooking class is Tuesday October 15th at 10am for ages 3-9. Book your child in to have a really fun day baking and exploring the garden at Our Farm Kitchen.
